The smallest piece of me...

that happens to be on of the most important is this background. It looks almost exactly like the colour of my room in my parents house! That was my first REAL independent decision when I was younger. My mother was completely against it but I found a way to make her let me paint my room bright pink. I must have given her the 'puppy dog' eyes to get her to let me do it. After that one small choice my parents realized they had to let me grow up and make my own decisions.

The best days with my mom and brother.

Best of friends & dynamic duo.

Over the years they attempted to pressure me into making some decisions that were their idea but not what I wanted. I always forged my own path in life and never really listened to what anyone else had to say. I was a leader unlike every other person in my family and my group of friends.

Me again in front of a large crowd before Beauty and The Beast at Disney World.

The next big decisions were to start horseback riding, playing soccer, and even football. My parents thought that these extra curricular activities might hinder my academics but I flourished at school receiving honours and the Queen Elizabeth Aiming for the Top Scholarship. This was completely unexpected and helped finance my first time at Algonquin College.

Riding my favourite horse Buddy!

My first year at Algonquin College all I wanted to do was become a teacher. I thought going to Algonquin College followed by Carleton University, which afterwards would have been followed by Ottawa University to become a teacher would be the cheapest route. My first year of college was in Early Childhood Education (ECE). I loved every moment of that program! The one and only thing that stopped me in my tracks after my first term was a little girl I met in my second term placement. I had to go back to school full-time and say goodbye to her, which was one of the most difficult things I have ever done. I still miss her every day and can`t believe how much she has grown whenever I occasionally see her.

The next three pictures are of a card the kids made for me when I left.

I left after the first year and looked forward to how my Esthetics course. When I first heard of Esthetics I wasn't completely sure of what it was. I later found out a lot more of what it was about and succeeded in getting my diploma. Just to brag a little bit, I did take a small business course and got a B in small business practices. Before I finished school I had already started working at a spa but decided it really wasn't for me. I decided taking a year off from school would be best for me at the time. It was the right move for me at the time.

These are pictures that were part of my makeup artistry class.

After a year off I was extremely excited to get back to school with my new program choice, Business Marketing. During my first term I did pretty well and really enjoyed the time I spent in class. My GPA in first term Marketing was a 3.44. The breakdown for my grades in first term are:

Financial Information for Marketing A-
Business Computer Applications A-
Skills Transferable to Business B
Marketing 1 A-

Currently in Marketing 2 I am sitting at about a 81% and hope to finish this term around that grade if not higher. I will keep this blog up to date and that will be one of the things I'm sure I will write about. There are a lot more pieces in my life that will be falling into place shortly so stay posted.
